About Us...Iron Sharpens Iron (ISI) is a student-led Christian fellowship at the University of Notre Dame, and affiliated with Campus Ministry. We are an interdenominational community of students with members from various Protestant, Catholic, and Orthodox backgrounds. We are inspired by Proverbs 27:17, which commands us to sharpen one another as iron sharpens iron.

The differences in our community serve as catalysts for sharpening. Fellowship, in light of disagreement, causes us (together and as individuals) to narrow our focus on the cornerstone of our faith: Jesus Christ and the story of His perfect life, death, resurrection, and subsequent grace. This narrative is the central gathering point for our community, just as it is for the rest of the created world.
ISI exists to deepen students' faiths in regard to living out the Gospel and to being active testimonies of this message on campus. We hold weekly meetings on Thursday nights, featuring corporate worship with music as well as student talk and prayer groups. Outside of Thursday nights, we hold prayer services, serve the South Bend community, and host activities/events for fellowship. Additionally, we host off-campus, weekend retreats for spiritual renewal and community building.
What's the best way to get involved? Take a look at the wide variety of groups/events at ISI (e.g., Freshman of God, Sunday Night of Worship, etc.) or go on a retreat. Tune in for a Thursday night and join us for praise and worship. Make connections with strangers, and be open, even vulnerable, about yourself. We are a big community full of brothers and sisters ready to welcome you!
When do we meet? Thursday Nights, 10 PM in Coleman-Morse Lounge **
ATTENTION: For those of us unable to attend, you can still catch us on Zoom by clicking on the link (https://notredame.zoom.us/j/94525712835) or using the invite code (945-2571-2835).
